Over $8000.00 has been raised for the R Marine Variety Splash with great support from Flourish Magazine making a contribution to Matt and Lani Timbrell’s fundraising efforts for the Splash event.

Flourish Magazine donated a prize for a silent auction as part of a fundraising Quiz Night held at Swanbank Bar and Restaurant, Maylands Golf Course on Wednesday 24^th February 2010.

The Quiz night, attended by over 80 people and organised in only 3 short weeks, was a huge success raising more than $8000 of much needed funds for Variety WA.

Western Australia’s sick and disadvantaged children will benefit from the fundraising Quiz night as the purpose of the event was to raise the minimum $2000 donation for Variety WA as part of the inaugural R Marine Variety Splash from Fremantle to Geographe Bay being held between the 11^th and 15^th March 2010.

This is the first time that the Variety Club has taken to the “high seas” in Western Australia, normally offering the road based Bash instead.
