Event: Meet the Authors
AWARD-WINNING photographers Stanley and Kaisa Breeden will present a snapshot of their professional lives at an upcoming Koorliny Arts Centre’s Meet the Author session.
Double Emmy award-winning Stanley Breeden took up photography as a teenager in the late 1950s and has since published 20 books on Australian and Indian wildlife. A contributor to most major English language nature magazines, Stan won his Emmy awards for his work as a documentary maker with National Geographic.
His wife, Kaisa, is a third generation artist captivated by the mastery of digital photography and fine art printing. Since convincing her husband to go digital, the couple have specialised in macro nature photography using natural light.
Stanley and Kaisa have published a number of books including Wildflower Country: Discovering Biodiversity in Australia’s Southwest, with Rainforest Country due for publication with Fremantle Press next month.
